Oracle Cards

From an early age, I've always been fascinated with tarot cards, but my latest love is Oracle cards.

So, is there a difference between the two? Well yes, yes there is.

Tarot decks are a set deck of 78 cards that fall under the category of Major or Minor arcana. From there, the cards are divided into four suits, traditionally as Wands, Cups, Swords, and Pentacles. Tarot cards are studied and interpreted by the reader. Now these readings can be lengthy and detailed. They offer insights into the past, current and future situations. For most decks it's only an image, but if there is any writing it's stating what the card is such as "8 of cups, The Empress, 2 of swords, etc.".

Oracle cards, on the other hand, are free structure. You can pick one (which is what I do) or up to 3 cards daily. Usually designed around a theme, come in different sizes and shapes so there is a perfect deck for you! Each deck has images, along with words and a book to explain the card. It's up to the reader on how to interpret it. When deciding which deck is right for you, the best thing to do is understand what exactly you want to gain from the cards and your reading. A Tarot card reading will offer you insight on whatever you need to reflect on or gain clarity with and ultimately help guide you.

Oracle decks are great for short term type of questions that require you to do some inner reflection and soul searching.

- What should I focus on this month?

- How do I figure out my purpose?

- Why am I feeling stuck in my [career, relationship, friendship, income, etc]?

- What’s the best possible outcome in this situation?

- What is the lesson I’m being offered in this situation?

My 3 decks are in the images and they are all beautiful and perfect for me. If you have questions, let me know! I'd be happy to help.

Wisdom of the Oracle by Colette Baron-Reid. This deck has a blend of elements of the I-Ching, Norse runes and traditional tarot. 52 card deck, has imagery of animals, the elements of nature, and other potent symbols..

The Halloween Oracle by Stacey Demarco - 36 card deck, with standard Halloween imagery such as black cats, vampires, and witches. The guide book to this deck gives rhyming couplets like those used in ancient storytelling as well as a message of divination for you based on an aspect of Halloween tradition.

Postcards from Spirit by Colette Baron-Reid This is a 52-card deck. These cards are really unique and endearing! The intention is to think of a loved one passed, your spirit guide or guardian angel and then ask a question. This will be your answer from them.
